RM of Wallace’s story
The Rural Municipality of Wallace No. 243 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 11, 1911. It lies in the east-central part of Saskatchewan.
Within its boundaries are the village of Rhein and the special service area of Stornoway. Several smaller localities are also part of the municipality: Barvas, Calley, Chrysler, Dunleath, Kessock, Rokeby and Tonkin.
Today the RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Friday of each month. The municipal office is in Yorkton.
